Gilbert Photographer Wins People’s Choice Award
This past weekend at the Gilbert Constitution Week art exhibit, Helen Thomas Robson won the People’s Choice Award for her work of art titled “Remember.” This fine art photograph depicts Christ comforting two your children, dressed in their daddy’s army fatigues, as they sit at his grave. “Remember “ is one of 28 works of fine art photos from a collection called “Captured Miracles.” Robson created the collection to use specifically in helping to aid children’s foundations in their efforts of fund raising. This Saturday, September 26, 2009, Robson will be exhibiting the winning work, along with the rest of the collection at The Rockin’ R Ranch, 6136 E. Baseline Rd., in Mesa, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. The exhibit is an open house event for the whole family to enjoy with introductory wholesale pricing for prints purchased at the event. For more information on the event and collection, go to www.capturedmiracles.org.
When Robson found out she won, she commented, “I was so excited to hear that “Remember” won the People’s Choice Award at one of the largest constitution celebrations in the nation. I really want to touch and inspire others with what I create. Winning the People’s Choice tells me that I am heading in the right direction. I created this collection because I wanted to do something with my talents that would help children while touching and inspiring others to make a difference.”
Robson is receiving requests and invitations to show her work at exhibits out of state as well and for various children’s foundations here in Arizona. The next exhibit is, Saturday, October 3, from 6:00 to 9:30 pm, 1711 N. Cherapple Dr., Orem, UT 84097.
