Spring is on its way, a time known for cleaning out closets and clutter. There is a different kind of clean-up Gilbert residents can also do to make their lives healthier and happier, with the help of Town experts who will offer their tips and ideas at a free 6 p.m. February 2 forum.

The forum will be televised and held at Town Hall, and is free and open to the public. It will feature ways to go green using free Town services. Make the most of our unique Town recycling services that allow you to recycle glass, aluminum and paper – as well as even hazardous wastes, or computers.

Did you know Gilbert offered a white trash pickup for appliances? Or that you could recycle your cooking grease to be used as fuel? The forum can answer all your questions about how to be an advocate for the environment, from the comfort of your home – all while saving money.

Residents can learn how to save big on their water bills, inside and out. Experts will answer questions on how the town’s upcoming General Plan features environmentally friendly incentives, and how an environmental task force is working to promote our green programs in Town.
