Mayor John Lewis will deliver news from the Town, including the state of the community and an economic forecast, at next week’s Annual Mayor’s Address, a luncheon hosted by the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce.

“I am pleased to have the opportunity to speak to the Chamber and provide an update on Town progress,” said Mayor Lewis. “Gilbert continues to be a clean, safe, and vibrant community that supports our local businesses, families, and individuals.”

The event is a Chamber tradition to bring together members of Gilbert’s business community to hear from the Town’s leadership and allows for questions from attendees, according to Kathy Tilque, president/CEO of the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce.

“Our membership is looking forward to hearing Mayor Lewis’ first address to the community, especially with the many issues the town is currently facing,” Tilque said. “We are thrilled he has decided to continue the tradition of this annual address with our Chamber.”

“The efforts of the Chamber to serve the community and enhance our ‘open to business’ culture is appreciated,” said Mayor Lewis.

The luncheon, sponsored by The Arizona Republic, will be held on Wednesday, February 17th from 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM at the Southeast Regional Library, 775 N. Greenfield Rd., in Gilbert. General admission is $25; chamber member price is $15 with a reservation and $20 at the door. Lunch will be catered by Jimmy’s of Chicago.
