Mesa residents interested in having their personal documents shredded to prevent identity theft are invited to bring their material to the upcoming City of Mesa Shred-A-Thon document destruction event. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at the Center Street Facility, 2412 N. Center St. There is no cost to take advantage of this event, but the following conditions apply:

• Event is intended for Mesa residential customers only
• Five box limit on documents to be shredded per household (Max. box size: 10”x12”x15”)
• Material will not be accepted from commercial businesses
