The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce has expanded its one-on-one business counseling hours as a result of an increased interest in this free service, provided by SCORE representatives.

SCORE is a network of more than 12,000 business experts who volunteer their time to counsel entrepreneurs to give real-world advice and know-how. Some have worked as executives at Fortune 500 companies while others have been small business owners themselves.

Sandy Aaron, owner of Pet Butler and member of the Gilbert Chamber, found SCORE through the Chamber and met with representative Larry Goldsmith for more than one year.

“Larry taught me many things I needed to know about running a business,” Sandy said. “Working with Larry for over a year built me into a ‘real’ business owner. I’m not sure my business would be as successful today had Larry not shown me the way.”

The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce currently hosts two SCORE representatives available each Tuesday morning from 8:00 AM to Noon and Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and by appointment.
