November:
Treasures
from the Past Antiques: Have you ever been told you cant
relive the past? Well, at Treasures from the Past Antiques, you can.
Its almost like stepping back in time, because you come
in and recognize things from your past, said Debby Ritterskamp,
advertising administrative manager for the store.
Since 1994, Treasures from the Past Antiques has acted as a sort of
exclusive mall for antiques, with more than 100 vendors inside the building.
The store rents space to the vendors, providing them with a place to
sell their merchandise.
With a setup like that, its easy to imagine the kind of selection
they provide.
Some vendors have garden pieces; another has French country pieces;
another has western pieces, Ritterskamp said. Most of the
dealers are pretty eclectic. Theres a lot of variety.
From furniture to jewelry to toys to coins, there is something there
for everybody, whether you are an avid collector or a casual shopper.
With so many options, the shopping experience might sound like it would
be overwhelming, yet it is anything but.
What I hear most often from our frequent shoppers is that [shopping
here] is the way they like to unwind and relax, Ritterskamp said.
Some piece will bring up a good memory. People say, Oh,
I remember when my mom had that. Its very soothing.
The aisles are wide and easy to maneuver around in. The store is well
lit and clean. It always has decorated vignettes. And when it comes
to where to go to find what, the dealers know where to direct you and
how to help you.
I really think this is probably the nicest, prettiest store Ive
been in, Ritterskamp said. Its a really good environment.
When it comes down to it, theres just something special about
the antique items.
Each piece has its own personality, and you know they last longer
than anything youre going to buy now in the stores, Ritterskamp
said.
With the tourist season starting up and the holidays upon us, there
are some good deals to be had, as well. Next up will be the after-Thanksgiving
sale, running Nov. 23-25. Certain pieces could be up to 50 percent off;
some may be even a bit more. You never know when youll find a
real treasure at Treasures from the Past Antiques.
Who knows? Ritterskamp said. You might know something
the dealer doesnt.

Elements
of Home Flooring +Interiors: Remodeling any
part of your home, whether just one room or the whole house, is far
from easy. There are endless decisions to be made, most of which come
with loads of stress. One big stress factor in a remodel is having to
work with several companies and people. There is one business for flooring,
another for countertops, yet another for tile, and so on. But with Elements
of Home Flooring + Interiors, you can get everything in one trip.
Owner and operator Marc Vanderwalker has worked in the flooring business
for more than 7½ years in the Valley. About four years ago, he
decided to take a step forward and incorporate his flooring experience
with other elements of the home by opening his own store. He knew that
he didnt just want to sell flooring: He wanted a place where customers
could come in, get some honest advice on style, color choice, accessory
selection, and receive some good, old-fashioned, quality customer service.
So Elements of Home Flooring + Interiors was born.
This company is the definition of a one-stop shop. You can
get everything from floor rugs to window treatments; light fixtures
for inside and out; granite, tile, or ceramic countertops; bathroom
hardware; all types of flooring; and much more. An inviting showroom
displays some combinations of what the company has to offer and to give
you a better idea of how everything comes together. The courteous staff
is available to help with any design needs, down to custom creations
and products.
Once you have selected the products you want, Elements of Home Flooring
+ Interiors will install everything for you! The company is licensed
and bonded.
With everything you need located in one place and factory-direct pricing
combined with professional employees, Elements of Home Flooring + Interiors
is the place to go when considering any kind of remodel or cosmetic
replacement of your home.

AZ
Red Mountain Eye Care: Family is our Business
is the motto of AZ Red Mountain Eye Care in Mesa. They strive to give
every customer a personalized and detailed visit each and every time.
From the optometrists chair, to the selection of eye-ware, you
will get the full attention of all the staff members at AZ Red Mountain
Eye Care.
Owner and optometrist Dr. Jeremy Olsen has been in the Optometric profession
for several years. After working in the field following his graduation
from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis Tennessee, Dr. Olsen
soon noticed how to improve the offices in which he worked. After much
consideration, he figured it was in his best interest to be a family
man and a businessman, and open an office of his own. One where he could
do everything the way he felt it should be done, and become part of
the ever-improving world of Optometry.
Opening in September of last year AZ Red Mountain Eye Care offers clients
a brand new facility, with all of the latest and greatest equipment.
And, although they are a smaller office, they have more diagnostic equipment
than most. So you get all the same treatments available in a bigger
office, but with less chaos, less waiting time to be seen, and more
attention from the doctor.
While many other offices claim to be family Optometry Offices, unlike
many of the other facilities, AZ Red Mountain Eye Care and Doctor Olsen
offer pediatric eye care. You can bring in the whole family. Starting
at 18 months, if you have concerns about your little ones eyes,
you can bring them in to the same office as yourself, and your parents.
Along with pediatric care, Dr. Olsen also provides standard adult eye
care, contact lens fitting, disease management, and pre/post operative
care.
Dr. Olsen has the opportunity to share his success with two amazing
Opticians to whom he gives much credit. Tasha Vineyard and Megan Myers
help him keep his office up and running the way it should be, measuring
up to his high standards of personal attention.
Once the exams and fittings are over, AZ Red Mountain Eye Care offers
over 600 frames to choose from, including brand names; sunglasses; regular
and colored contacts; and all necessary supplies to keep your glasses
and contacts clean and safe.
AZ Red Mountain Eye Care is located at 6136 E. Brown Rd. Suite 102 in
Mesa. They are open on Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Tuesday through
Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays
from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a website at www.azredmountaineyecare.com,
