March:
Based in Illinois and winning rave reviews from happy eaters and satisfied dieters for over 20 years, Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating is so much more than an effective way to enjoy delicious meals. With no commitments, no contracts and no pressure, customers are able to enjoy the convenience of freshly prepared meals that are designed to fit just about any lifestyle. Sharle Dille is an independent distributor and loves to have the chance to help people in their pursuit of healthy eating. “It’s ‘no-gimmicks’. It is what it is,” said Sharle Dille. “It’s not just for weight loss, it’s a healthy way of eating,” she explained. This revolutionary program also helps customers address health issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, cholesterol issues and weight control. All cuisine is freshly prepared (not frozen or “boxed”) in the Seattle Sutton commercial kitchen in Phoenix and then is ready for pick up at the East Mesa location in Dille’s office.
As I interviewed, Dille a customer came in to the office and said he found out about Seattle Sutton from ‘The View’ and was most interested in starting the program because of portion control. As a specific benefit to customers, all meals are strictly calorie and portion controlled to get people in the mindset of not overeating. With a five week rotating menu, there is always something delicious on the Seattle Sutton menu. Each day, there are three complete meals designed to tempt the palate and keep eating habits in check. Some breakfast offerings include pancakes with spiced apple topping and veggie sausage, breakfast wrap with salsa and fresh juice and cinnamon raisin oatmeal with an English muffin and fruit spread. Lunches offer entrees like Mozzarella Bake, chicken with pineapple sauce, tortellini vegetable soup and the famous pepper jack burger. For dinner, enjoy offerings such as Heirloom Ravioli, chicken and linguini, fluffy egg noodles with meatballs and chicken and Swiss cheese casserole.
Meals come in two different plans: 1200 calories per day or 2000 calories per day. Meal orders need to be placed by 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays and are ready for pick up on the following Monday and Thursday between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Delivery is also available. Orders may be placed online or in person.
The community is invited to come to an Open House and meet Sharle Dille, learn more about the Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating menu and check out some of the fresh meals on the menu. On March 14 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., potential customers can get their questions answered, try some samples, enter a drawing and take advantage of ‘The View Five Week Special’. To visit the open house, stop by Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating East Mesa at 2929 N. Power Road (north of McDowell), call 480-354-7743 or visit www.SeattleSutton.com.
J.R. D’signs is not your typical interior design business. Where some interior designers want to pack every nook and cranny in your home with new and trendy items, owner Janice Rawlings, A.A.S. knows that sometimes less is more. She also takes great care in thoughtfully incorporating her client’s existing special pieces in to a new style or updated décor. For Rawlings, her passion has been a lifelong journey. As a youngster, Rawlings worked alongside her father with projects ranging from an office remodel to masonry wall work. “I enjoyed working and learning alongside him,” stated Rawlings, “From there, it seemed to evolve in (to) other areas of Interior Design.” She later taught at an Interior Design Trade school and obtained a degree for Applied Science in Interior Design. “Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with established and reliable contractors, vendors and suppliers, enabling me to gain project knowledge for my success,” Rawlings explained. J.R. D’signs offers Interior Design for every room in the home, in addition to services for rentals and offices. “I’m working with redesign more often with today’s economy, meaning: refresh, rearrange, reorganize using your existing items,” stated Rawlings. One way to brighten or entirely change the mood or feeling of a room is by using a color palette. She works with a client to see with what colors they are comfortable. “We establish three colors not including neutrals-such as black, white and sands. Colors help to create dimension and “architectural visual value”. Rawlings also knows how to tie rooms together to create a “flow” throughout a home.
Specializing in full project remodels, J.R. D’signs also has a partnership with a mill shop in Mesa that is utilized for all cabinetry work. “For seven years I specialized in computer drafting and engineering drawings for kitchen and bath remodels, along with selections of all material with my clients,” said Rawlings. For those customers who want to keep their sentimental or antique items, sometimes all they need is a new space within a client’s home. “….I will always allow them to guide me (on) what didn’t work and what ways they are looking for change. After our newly found information, I will then make suggestions to other problem areas I have noticed,” she stated. Each job is as unique as its homeowner and with the initial consultation, Rawlings relationship with the client starts to form. She takes the time to listen to what her client wants and makes suggestions along the way. “We basically form a plan of attack together. I leave sometimes giving them homework until my next visit or I have some drawings and sketches to provide them. It’s a process or a one-time visit depending on their needs,” Rawlings explained. Janice Rawlings is a member of A.S.I.D. (American Society of Interior Designers) and ‘The Green Living Group’. “Reutilize what you have and be creative!” she said. As a more eco-friendly way of building and doing interior design Rawlings stated, “Suppliers and vendors are more environmentally aware.” Some unique options include furniture that uses less wood and more earth-friendly practices in cabinetry production. Of course, reusing and giving new life to existing pieces using “redesign” helps to cut down on waste. “Redesign goes hand in hand with this economy,” noted Rawlings, who likened redesign to accessorizing the perfect little black dress to give it an entirely new life.
