Donna Kohlhase State Farm Agency, Inc. Donna Kohlhase is not a new name in the community or in the insurance industry. Kohlhase is active in the community as President of Mesa Soroptimist International, Inc., Secretary/Treasurer of East Valley National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and Chairs the Mission Committee at Red Mountain United Methodist Church. She has completed Mesa Leadership and Development and has served on various City of Mesa Boards. There isn’t much free time, but when there is, she loves to travel with her family to ski, scuba dive, or to just explore as she did in Barcelona, Vienna and Amsterdam this summer. To insure that every client is taken care of in a professional, qualified and friendly manner there are four licensed team members: Beth Anderson, Alicia Balistreri, Molly Bower and Mary Connor. Continuing education is essential at Donna Kohlhase State Farm Insurance Agency. “There is no way I can provide council or recommendations if I don’t stay on top of all the industry, tax and economic changes,” stated Kohlhase. Kohlhase feels that it is important to meet with her clients at least every eighteen months. Especially when there are significant changes that occur, called life events. Often life events make it necessary to change insurance coverage. Some examples would be when a child achieves a ‘B’ or better average in school (a generous discount may apply), a loan gets paid off, or if there is a significant change in the household income. The industry and surrounding legal climate continue to evolve, which makes it important to discuss liability limits. “When would you rather know if you have the correct coverage for your situation; now or when you have a claim?” asked Kohlhase. She and her staff always double check discounts for clients. During these tough economic times, many people are losing their employee benefits. No one should be without life or health insurance. Kohlhase is very skilled at working to stay within a client’s budget, yet still provide protection. With layoffs and job changes, there are often questions about 401k accounts. Kohlhase, with her knowledge and product availability can provide rollover options that work for her clients. Arizona state law requires auto insurance. Additionally a mortgage company requires that a home be insured. What many people fail to realize is that the biggest asset they need to protect is their income. Often, this is the forgotten piece of the financial puzzle. Income can be lost in a lawsuit, a disability or death of the wage earner. It is very important to protect your family by making sure income is protected. Over the past twenty-nine years, Kohlhase has earned the following designations: CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) CASL (Chartered Advisor for Senior Living) CFP® Certified Financial Planner. Her office is located at 6836 E Brown Road Suite 101 (Brown/Power). Office hours are Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 6 pm and Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Late appointments are available on Thursdays.
