Our party of three, myself and friends Chris and Brenda, met for breakfast (a description of T.C. Eggingtons scrumptious lunches will have to be saved for another day). I chose a house specialty, The Eggington Omelette. This delicious omelet features tender chunks of chicken brought together with mushrooms, broccoli and cream cheese before being smothered in their decadent hollandaise sauce. Accompanied by Parlour Potatoes and an English muffin this breakfast was truly a feast! Brenda chose an omelet as well the Mediterranean, which is a combination of mushrooms, bacon, and chives, with a generous portion of Swiss and Parmesan cheeses. Wonderful! Chris went for the classic Eggs Ben. E. Dict. A favorite dish of mine as well, we both agree the version here is possibly the best weve had. Another much-loved dish at this establishment is their famous French toast, err, English Toast with a French Flair as it reads on the menu. Being naughty, we ordered a side portion of this lovely treat to split between the three of us. This one dish just may be the answer to world peace. Need I say more?
T.C. Eggingtons has a quaint French country atmosphere. Outdoor seating is also available, with misters for those egg-stra warm days (sorry, I couldnt resist!) and heaters for those rare chilly days we experience from time to time. The wait staff is always very cheerful and accommodating, with quick, friendly service. As I mentioned before, there is also an extensive lunch menu filled with mouth-watering sandwiches and salads. Naturally, if you are a breakfast-any-time-of-day lover such as myself, you may choose from the breakfast side of the menu for lunch as well. All of the dishes here are made from scratch every day, using only the freshest ingredients. The portions are as generous as they are delicious so come hungry.
T.C. Eggingtons opens its doors for breakfast and lunch only, with daily hours from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It is located at 1660 South Alma School Road in Mesa, on the west side of Alma School, just south of US 60. They gladly take reservations, and even allow you to call ahead to put your name on the list before you arrive. The phone number is 480-345-9288 and their entire menu is available online at their website, www.TCegg.com.
